Lost Vauxhall Astra key

The owner of a car showroom told us one of his staff had lost the only key to a Vauxhall Astra (2003 model). He had sold the car and the new owner was collecting it that evening . Having called the main dealer to obtain a key, he was told it would take 3 days to get the codes and 1 week to obtain a key, then he would have to tow the car in to have the key programmed. All of this would have cost him £300 plus labour.

He was extremely happy when he called and was told we could be with him within the hour and the whole job would take about an hour.

After the job had been done he was very pleased and said he would highly recommend our company.

Ford Focus Key locked in boot

We were called out to a lady that had locked her keys in the boot of her Ford Focus (2004 model). She had already called two house locksmiths who both tried but couldn't get in. They both caused damage to the car door and charged her call out fees. We opened it in less than 2 minutes without any damage using a special Ford pick. She was very happy!

Broken Honda key

We were called out to broken key on a Honda (1999 model). The customer said the key had broken in her pocket and she was stuck 40 miles from home.

Unsure what to do she had called her breakdown company who sent a patrol man out. He took the broken part and put it in the ignition, saying this would work as he had done it before. It didn't work and she was told a new ignition would be £400 plus labour.

She then called us at K&M Vehicle Locksmiths. We were unable to pick the broken part out of the lock because the recovery man had forced it in, so we removed the ignition, opened it up and removed the broken part, then cut her a new key and sent her happily on her way. SB (Petts Wood)
